Our Impact
Growing gardens. Growing leaders. Growing a greener, more just Los Angeles.
At Chicas Verdes, we transform under-resourced schools into thriving green spaces and empower young people to grow food, lead change, and reimagine their neighborhoods.
Since 2017, we’ve shown that gardens are more than just plants; they serve as classrooms, leadership incubators, and centers of health and community connection. With the launch of the Chicas Verdes Gardening Challenge, we are scaling this proven model citywide.
